About Nominations
Rizepreneur Select nominations are open to the public. Anyone may nominate a qualifying small business that demonstrates excellence, consistency, and positive impact within its community or industry.
Nominations do not guarantee inclusion. All submissions are reviewed to ensure they meet the Select criteria.
Eligibility Criteria
Must be a registered or operating small business
Must be based in South Africa
Must be actively trading
Must align with the values of ethical business conduct
Must fit at least one Rizepreneur Select category
Businesses may be nominated more than once, but only approved nominations proceed to voting.
Current Community Ranking Categories
Business Excellence
- For businesses demonstrating strong overall performance and professionalism.
Local Excellence
- For businesses contributing to local production, job creation, and community impact.
Emerging Brand
- For newer businesses showing strong growth potential and visibility.
Categories rotate throughout the year. Annual recognition is reserved for December.
